How’s Your Wedding Plans Coming Along…
You know it’s wedding planning season when the wedding fayres are in full swing. February, for most, can be a bit of a dull month; it’s cold, wet, grey and possibly even a bit miserable sometimes. The lucky exception to this are the ‘planning couple’ because this is where all the planning action really kicks off! February really is a wedding fayre hot-bed. And there really is something for everyone. You’ve got the really big events, for example the Scottish Wedding Show at the SECC this weekend or the Wedding Open Day at Hamilton Park Racecourse. But you’ve also got the smaller, yet fabulous, fayres such as The Wedding Open Evening at House for an Art Lover. Venue open events are often a brilliant source of local and recommended suppliers so these are not to be missed. Click here to see a great list of Scottish wedding events.
As a band, we have exhibited at many wedding fayres. However, these days we tend to stick just to having our own showcase event. This is for two main reasons. One, most of our couples come to us via recommendations or because they have seen us play at a previous wedding or event. Two, our service is all about the sound and music, and of course, it is not really possible to play live at wedding events. However, to source other wedding suppliers; fayres, shows and events are the place to be. And lots of fun too! There’s usually samples and freebies as well!
So, good news, we’ve booked in our next showcase! Yes, wedding fayres are brilliant, but you can’t book your band without seeing them live first. Website demos are great to give you an initial idea, but you’ve really got to get along in person. Come see us play on March 13th at 2pm prompt in the Piper on the Square – Glasgow City Centre.
